On August 18, the theory seminar on commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War hosted by China Yan'an Spirit Research Society (CYSRS) and undertaken by Jilin Province Yan'an Spirit Research Society (JYSRS) was held in Changchun. Provincial Party committee standing committee member and organization director Qi Yu attended the seminar and delivered a speech. CYSRS executive vice presiden t Zhu Jiamu and Su Xisheng and vice president of Lin Yanzhi attended the seminar.

More than 60 leaders, experts, and scholars from Yan'an Spirit Research Society (YSRS) of all places across the country have discussed around the history, great achievements, basic experiences and significance of China's Anti-Japanese War, the backbone role of the Chinese Communist Party, the spirit and historic status of the Anti-Japanese Amalgamated Army of the Northeast (AJAAN) and other major issues. Zhu Jiamu, Lin Yanzhi, Liu Xinjun, Wang Yitian, Zhang Hongxing, An Yongxiang, Wang Kaijie, Liu Jianlu and Qiu Hongbo made an exchange speech at the seminar.

In his speech, Qi Yu pointed out this year is the 70th anniversary of victory of China's Anti-Japanese War and deeply studying the history of the Anti-Japanese War is a need for summarizing historical experiences and creating a beautiful future and an important way to strengthen the revolutionary tradition education and carry forward the national spirit. Jilin has a glorious revolutionary history and the Jilin people, together with other people in Northeast China, jointly casted the glory AJAAN spirit. The AJAAN spirit, same as the Yan'an Spirit, is an important component of China's revolutionary spirit, the Party, the army and the nation's precious spiritual wealth, and a powerful source of strength to inspire people of all nationalities to forge ahead. The provincial Party committee and government have always attached great importance to the research, conservation and heritage of the history, culture and spirit of China's Anti-Japanese War and always taken the AJAAN spirit and the red culture casted by the Jilin people with lives as a vivid teaching material for carrying out the Party spirit and history education and a valuable resource for strengthening the Party building. Jilin will take this seminar as an opportunity, further deeply dig, systematically research and vigorously carry forward Jilin's Anti-Japanese war history and culture with the AJAAN spirit as the main content, continue to gather positive energy for promoting reform and development and strive to create a new chapter for a new round revitalization and development of Jilin.
