Name: Winklhofev Max This was the first time for me being in Beijing and it also was the first time for me being China. Michael and the whole team of the school provided me with all the necessary information which I needed for the daily life in Beijing. So I very quickly felt "at home" in Beijing. The language course was sometimes hard, but it helped me to improve my language skills. I meanwhile can talk a little with the Chinese people and I can bargain when buying things. (Which is a very important skill in Beijing). Although the language course and the homework took a lot of time, I had enough time seeing interesting locations in Beijing. I would like to thank the whole team of the school. These two weeks are a really great experience to me. Maybe another year I will find the time to come again.
我叫米雪，是奥地利人，我在维也纳大学学习汉语。 (Translation of the contents: Six weeks ago, my friend- Han Naisi told me he decided to go to China to study Chinese, and asked me if I like to join with them. He said his plan was staying Beijing for 3 weeks, and everyone lives in a Chinese family. Then we can learn Chinese on our class and also can know the Beijing's culture, Beijing's life (of course includes Beijing's accent), etc. I thought it's a good idea, but the problem was I'm did not have so much money, I thought go to China by plane must be very expensive. But Naisi told me he could get the cheaper ticket, it's a good opportunity to me! I asked my parents. They said I could go if not too expensive! ( I paid everything by myself) So I decided immediately, and told Naisi, I'd like going! I only spent 3 weeks to prepare the travel. The time past so fast! Next week I should go back to Austria, I don't like to go so fast, because I already adapt myself to here's life. My Chinese family is very friendly, everyday they cook different food for me and let me know the Chinese dishes. My home is faraway form the school, everyday I go to school by bus. Before staying in here, I was a little bit afraid to take bus. Because if the bus is too crowed, it's difficult to go off, I'm also afraid of losing the way. But every time I get help, all of they are very patience, they tell me how to go and when I should go off. Studying in the school also has lots of fun: our group is very small, there are only 3 people, so everyone has many opportunities to practice speaking Chinese. We not only practice speaking Chinese but also practice listening comprehension. Thank for we have 5 teachers (because everyone has different accent), so we can improve our listening comprehension so fast. Except learning mandarin, we also learning Chinese culture: everyday we learn two Idioms, and famous poems. But to me, my favorites are: Majiang and Chinese chess. Definitely, I'll be back again!)
我从澳大利亚来，我是坐飞机来的。以前我没去过中国。我来北京的时候天气很冷了！ During the two weeks, I bought lots CDs and books. The goods in China are cheaper than in Australia. I was also visited the Great Wall, watched the Beijing Opera and went to lots restaurants. When I was in Australian I couldn't speak any Chinese, but now I can speak a little bit! Our teacher is very good!)
Five weeks are now past, since I met you and the doorframe of the classroom for the first time! Five weeks in which I was learning and learning and …… in short I learned a lot (for me), about the Chinese culture and language! And in a such good atmosphere, like I had by you, it's easy and nice to learn! And for that I will thank you: Michael, Lei Mei, Lisa and Rosemary! Especially Lisa my teacher during the five weeks! Thank you "jiejie" for the good introducing in Chinese! so I think I have now a good basic for my further stay in China! And perhaps I succeed sometime to speak out the (for me hateful) 4 Tone! I hope it! So I wish you all the best for your future!
我从印度尼西亚来要学习汉语。我在印尼的学校正在放假。我很高兴因为我能来北京学习。第一天先找房子住。第二天我开始补习。 I went to the Great Wall, Tian An Men Square and Summer Palace. I saw lots children flying kites in Tian An Men Square. Limei is a good teacher, thank you very much! )
